Mangrove Planting and Bangka Handling

Beyond TV goes to the mangroves! This coming August 15, as part of the environmental awareness series, we bring your kids (9-16 years old) to a mangrove forest for propagule planting and bangka handling in Alubijid, Misamis Oriental. A visit to salt production beds is included. Let your kids enjoy and appreciate a coastal and mangrove forest environment.

Environmental Awareness Series: The Coastal Environment

Activity Location: Alubijid, Misamis Oriental
Duration: 8am-5pm
Participants: Senior and Junior Age Groups (9-16 years old)

Meet up Schedule

August 15, 2015 (Saturday)
8:00am – assemble/ drop off kids at McDonalds, Limketkai Center
5:00pm – pick-up kids at McDonalds, Limketkai

What To Bring?

Please bring:

  • wettable clothes and shoes
  • extra dry clothes
  • towel
  • water bottle
  • sunscreen protection (cap and sunblock lotion)
  • slippers
  • plastic bag for wet clothes
  • lunch and snacks
